Antioxidants
Oxidisation is a natural process which causes iron to rust and apples to turn brown once they have been cut open. Unstable oxygen molecules, known as "free radicals", have a similar detrimental effect on our cells when we breathe them in. Substances which counter the effects of free radicals are known as antioxidants.
Many sources of antioxidants have been discovered, with the most well known and researched being Vitamin C, Vitamin E, and Beta-carotene.
Lycium barbarum, also known as wolfberry or the Goji berry, is one of the most potent natural food source of antioxidants found to date. These berries contain 500 times the amount of vitamin C by weight than oranges, have more beta-carotene than carrots, and vitamin E, which is rarely found in fruits.
We offer antioxidants in a variety of forms, to suit your ease of use.
